An Absolute Monster
Watch Invictus Launch:
An Absolute Monster
Invictus is a multi-configuration, 4 inch wide rocket that stands nearly 6 feet tall and dwarfs even some people. It being a multi-configuration rocket means that it is extremely versatile. It has two main variants, Invictus HPR and Invictus MPR, or just Invictus. A four character classification code helps to identify the configuration of each flight.
The standard configuration of Invictus MPR at the moment is CO12. It has a composite first stage motor (G80-7T), only one, and two stages. The second stage is an Estes F15-4 which is air-ignited by a flight computer. On top of the first and second stages is the Multipurpose Bay (MP). For flights with a flight computer, this is an avionics bay. For flights with no flight computer, this is a payload bay. Following the results of Invictus Flight 2, it is unlikely that another Invictus MPR will fly.
Invictus HPR has not entered development yet as we move towards L1 certification with our HOLT rocket first.
