Watch Invictus Launch:
ASA Space Exploration Center - Invictus Update #2
Vehicle Hull
- The body tubes for Invictus have been prepared to receive their motor mounts and tube couplers. This consisted of cleaning the burrs from cutting off the ends and roughing the inside of them up to improve component adhesion at integration. In addition, the tubes are being painted in preparation for final integration later on as we wait for other components.
Component Upgrades
- The parts for Invictus will no longer be manufactured out of standard materials and will now be 3D printed by Onkla SXC to aid in precision and tolerances. (Image 1: 3D parts)
Launch Pad Upgrade Progress
- The launch pad is currently receiving the deluge flex hoses and is in pieces as we work to complete upgrades. An image will be provided upon completion closer to the April launch date.Â
Nosecone
- The nosecone will no longer be manufactured by Onkla SXC and will now be sourced from Apogee Components.
All signs point to us making our launch date range of April 6-8, 2024!
